Water Utility Services
Natural Systems Utilities is a full-service water/wastewater utility provider, serving residential, mixed-use, municipal, commercial, and industrial clients. We represent a professional bridge between the most innovative, environmentally sustainable technologies and the most reliable design/build/own/operate services in the water management field. NSU stands behind each of its systems throughout its entire lifecycle. We manage the integrated water solutions, ensuring the highest quality service to homeowners and other end-users, and a worry-free turn-key solution for developers.
Creating continuity between engineering design, construction, and system operation makes for robust, high-quality systems that last. We are continually improving our engineering designs through the feedback gained from our construction contractors and system operators. NSU remains in the community as a steward of some of its most precious resources, fostering long-term sustainability and local participation.
On-site Integrated Water Resources Management
Unlike traditional solution providers, NSU is an integrated water utility whose systems provide for all aspects of on-site water resource management:
- Potable water supply.
- Wastewater collection, treatment, and reuse.
- Stormwater conveyance, treatment, storage and reuse.
- Rainwater catchment and reuse.
- Groundwater recharge and remediation.
- Lake, river, and estuary restoration.
Regulated and Non-regulated Utility Operations
NSU has extensive experience with both regulated and non-regulated water utility operations. Beginning with its strategic partnership with EcoCheck, NSU is building a national service platform based on more than 20 years of experience in operating and maintaining innovative natural systems and integrated reuse designs. NSU currently serves the largest installed base of natural systems customers in the United States, including nearly 5,000 EDUs connected to decentralized water provision and treatment systems in the Midwest. We also have a pipeline of an additional 20,000 home connections in new developments across the South and Southwestern U.S.
Our local utility services include:
- Ongoing operations, maintenance and troubleshooting services.
- 24/7 emergency service.
- Regulatory reporting and compliance services, including water quality testing.
- Rate hearings and ordinance establishment.
- State- and MPCA-trained and certified local operators.
